Any Mustang basses with larger necks?

After playing a vintage Fender Mustang guitar for many years, I am really drawn to the Mustang shape and would like to get a Mustang bass. Unfortunately, every modern Mustang bass seems to have a 1.5” nut width. My 1970 Mustang guitar had the best shaped neck I’ve ever felt, 1 5/8” with a constant .89” neck depth from the 1st to the 12th fret. I’ve looked at a few vintage Mustangs which have a bigger neck, but the prices are just too much to spend right now.

Is there any modern Mustang bass model that has a bigger neck than the common 1.5” nut width?

Mustang bass Vintera and Vintera II are both over 1.5”. Vintera is 1.625”, Vintera II is 1.65”.
I have a Vintera and really like it. Needed a little bit of fret end cleanup, but otherwise solid build quality.

If it does not strictly have to be a Mustang, but you are ok with offset short scale, the G&L Tribute Fallout basses are also 1 5/8” nut width. Fallout feels a little bigger than the Mustang and covers more ground thanks to the coil tap control and MFD pickup. Tribute Fallout is also cheaper than the Vintera Mustangs.

the Nash mb63 necks are all like baseball bats but theyre expensive

i think the vintera ii necks feel a bit thicker than jmj since theyre rounder on account of the vintage radius

Not sure what your budget is, but the American Performer Mustang has a 1.625" nut width. Mine is really comfortable, the neck feels amazing!

just saw this on the bay and it may be what you're looking for! It's a MIM PJ mustang with a 42mm (~1.65") nut width / 65mm heel width (2.55", which is like a typical long scale FSO heel width) added. Only note is that you may need to ensure the bridge was moved to accommodate the extra fret on the new neck.

Just an option out of left field for you…

The Squier Broncos are a great project bass, and everyone I’ve seen has a 41mm nut instead of the “listed” 38mm. They’re inexpensive, easy to mod, and you can build a hell of a good Mustang style bass for peanuts

The old Bullet basses were Mustangish and had big fat necks. Great basses. I almost bought an old American made on from GC for $400 and didn't. I regret it.
