Any opinion on this rare bass?

The bass is an older imported model. For some reason there is a following developing for these instruments. I personally think they're all junk. Back in the day you didn't aspire to own this bass. It was the best you could do for your money and you had no choice. You aspired to get a real bass and couldn't wait to leave this behind. The magic of nostalgia, quest for the unknown, and marketing has brought these instruments back to the market place. I laugh every time I see one for sale! This bass is a novelty / psuedo-collectible with a niche market. Spend the $200 (or add to it) for a more modern entry level (or better) bass. There are many to choose from. Unless of course you want to start collecting junky old Japanese basses. In that case it is a good entry point into the market.

I always though the term "lawsuit" was reserved for very well made copies that threatened the original manufacturer. Not a cheap POS like this.

I was offer a Fender MIM for about 320 ( haven't test yet ) and saw this ads , I was thinking if it is a wise choice to choose this over the Fender and save the 100

I'd move on. There are plenty more fish in the sea, especially as I'd noticed, as JimmyM has, that G string is right over the edge of the fretboard.
You just would not enjoy playing it, I am sure.
Rare it may be, but it will not appreciate in value.

Impossible to say without playing it. It doesn't have collector's value. It could be really nice, could be a dog.

It sounds like you are looking for something to play, not collect. Figure out your budget, and start playing basses.

Wall hanger material. Philippine mahogany aka Luan body. Unknown neck woods and the "fretboard" might literally just be a veneer. G string alignment out of whack. Cheap hardware. Save your money for something better.

For $200, a used Squier is a better deal. (I got my P5 for $150).

$50 is the absolute top IMO, $25 is about right.

Pass on it man.
The neck (including the tuners) looks "iffy" and that's a huge problem. It sounds to me like you're looking for something to use regularly and while I'm all for a kitschy old jazz bass full of mojo, this would only work as a second or third bass that you don't have to rely on.

Advice from an Old Head who has been playing for 46 years....keep it moving. You'd be better off with an SX, Squier VM, MIM Fender, Ibanez, Sire etc.

The only thing great is see is dimarzios but I'd rather own a better jazz bass and just put dimarzios in them later.
