Any others out there using more than one compressor?

I have found that I really like having 2 compressors running at the same time. It seems to give it almost a tubey goodness. My current setup is my active 6 string into a Markbass Compressore into a Broughton HPF/LPF into my Eden WT400 with the onboard compressor engaged, EQ set flat with 1-2 clicks of bass and enhance at 9:00, going out to my Epifani UL210 and UL112. Any others out there doing this? Any recommendations as to how I have this setup or settings for the MB Compressore? Tried this as an experiment and really liked the outcome.

Lustihand Alma into Effectrode LA-1A

Sorry if I seem a little dumb. I don't use any dirt or other pedals, so not familiar with the ones in your pic. Are any of those comps? Any of those HPF/LPFs? Just not sure the point of your pic.
The ones I listed, the Lusithand Alma and Effectrode LA-1A, are both compressors. Running at the same time.

it would have been quite off topic for me to just name random pedals on a random photo.

I use two, but I didn't set it up that way on purpose.

My Tech21 fly rig has a built in compressor at the front of the chain. Two knobs (level and comp), I don't really know what comp does beyond turn it up = more compression. I assume it adjusts the compression ratio but the manual doesn't go into detail about which ratios align with different spots on the dial.

My amp (Ampeg PF500) also has a compressor knob, similarly vague in terms of how it works. So I have no idea what ratios I'm using in either case, but I have both knobs around 9:00 - 10:00 and I think it sounds good.

I used to use a limiter at the very end of the chain, but after experimenting, and especially if there is an eq pedal in the signal path, I have concluded that for my purposes having compression/limiting at the end of the pedalboard will reduce the bite and attack that can be delivered by my ampeg cabs. Any limiting that may be required for a live performance can be done by a competent sound-person. May just be my findings. However, I still use two comps. One at the very beginning before my envelope filters, and one after my envelope filters. The second controls wild peaks from the envelope filters, the first injects some solid foundation.

I'm going to try this tomorrow. Can't do it tonight because my daughter is studying geometry lol. I always have my Darkglass compressor on, but haven't engaged the compressor built in to my Ampeg pf 500. I always thought it would be too squished. I will let you know how it goes. If I really like it, might look into a second adjustable compressor :p

I use the same amp and I don't find the compressor particularly squishy at all, unless you really crank it. It's also pretty transparent. For a single knob compressor it's pretty good.

I use 2 in my practice rig. Usually a Cali76 Master Deluxe first in line then a LA-1A second to last (before preamp). Soft/mild compression on both, though sometimes more on LA-1A. I sometimes swap out the Cali76 for a different flavor. I avoid using the same type of compressor (e.g., 2 optical comps). Thanks to this thread, that's not a problem. :D
