any smokers switch to Vaping yet? [PART 2]

We'll I'm on day 3 1/2 and I haven't had a cig since Sunday. Feelin good. There was a few times like last night right before bed and a couple times today that I wanted a cig bad but then I just sucked on my Zmax a few times and all was well. I didn't think I was gonna like the flavors all that much but I've gotten a few that I mix with the regular "tobacco" flavors, so I like it. I must say that sometimes I wonder exactly what it is I'm putting in my body. Then I think, it can't be worse than a cig. Like, at all. So I'm making progress. Half an hour and meal by meal at a time.

Blu use 100% VG juice made by johnson creek ... it could be you are over-vaping to make up for the lack of throat hit ...

try one of the full strength njoy disposables ... they have a little more kick, and if you are sensitive to high VG (some are - gives asthma/flu like chest tightness) they should not affect you as bad.

and as for "killing your lungs" - seriously, you are inhaling smoke. nothing is worse for you lungs, except for maybe hard vacuum.

I just talked to Innokin's stateside warranty operation. A replacement VTR is on the way! :hyper:

In its absence, I've grown to like my Smoktech Gripper due to its light weight but it's definitely not built to last.

Innokin made good and sent me a brand new VTR. It has a revised 510 connector as they were having problems with the original batch. It's bizarre that they originally put such a crappy part in such an overbuilt device.

Have any of you seem that E-cigarette forum?? There's a huge wealth of knowledge over there. It's like TB but all with e-cigs and the people that use them. Sub-forums for juice. It's crazy the amount of stuff going on over there. Wow.

The throat hit is definitely why I was pulling on the thing so hard and so long with every drag. Actually had to plug the hole in the side of it to get a stronger hit (like taking a huge rip off of a bowl of the green stuff). With cigs, I don't feel like someone is sitting on my chest after a couple drags. Maybe I am sensitive to that VG stuff....

When this pack of marbs runs out I'll try one of those njoy disposables.

i know it sounds counter-productive and doesn't make much sense to someone who still smokes various things - but with vaping, slower and lighter = more vapor.

with a cig, you pack it to make it more dense, and hit it harder, because it is smouldering, not actually burning. packing it reduces air pockets in the flammable material, raising the temperature that it smoulders at. kind of like putting the lighter over the lid, if ya know what i mean.

with vapor, it needs room to expand ... people get thick, dense clouds of vapor by taking long, slow direct lung hits, and letting air enter beside the drip tip ... larger holes in the atomizer actually increase vapor production (smaller holes intensify flavor) ...

2nd hand nicotine is just as addictive as 1st hand.

yup... nicotine is nicotine. And old news in the vaping community

Personally I do not vape in my house when young children are around, nor will I openly vape in restaurants, malls, etc. Here in my state, you cannot legally vape anywhere that a regular cigarette is banned and it has been that way for a few years.

i was subjected to a house full of smokers from a young age ... every time i was away from the house, i would get headaches ...

i'm pretty sure i was addicted to nicotine long before i ever smoked a cigarette.

I'm the same way. My mother, grandmother, both uncles, and both grandfathers smoked around all of us growing up. I would get the "withdrawal" symptoms when I would leave the house to go back to school. I'm almost convinced that's why I was smoking in the first place.

The hardest thing to kick for me was smoking while drinking or after breakfast. After that, it's been a cake walk.

I'm still not sold on what I want as an upgrade. I'm thinking of stepping up into a new tank system as well as from my twists, but there's sooooo much new stuff out there. I've been hitting up Grimm and PBursado's channels and blogs pretty much every day for a month now.

As far as what I like, the usb charge for the Twist is awesome, as is the ability to dial it in. However, I pretty much set it where I like it for a juice and leave it for the day. I'm not sure I would be one for tinkering all day. The other thing I like about my twist is being able to wear it as a necklace while driving, so portability is pretty key to me. I'd also be interested in a little more vapor production, and I'd like to be able to have a little more juice in the tank. I seem to burn through what I'v got in my Evod by the end of the day/night.

What I don't like about the Twists has been battery life. Even the 1100 MaH ones seem to die down, and I HAVE to pack a charger if I have a late night at work or if I plan on spending time at SWMBO's apartment. I don't keep any spare stuff at her place, although I probably should start doing so. The other big thing I don't like is that the Twists like to separate in my pocket. I'm not sure if I'm being too hard on them, though, or if it has to do with build quality.

James, where do you get the LKA juice from? I've seen a few shout outs for it, and I'd like to try it as well as a few others.

a sad day ...

Mamu has officially retired from making mods for sale ... her forums are still open, and she will still service existing mods. however, the last run of crickets were her last run ever ...

now i really gotta invest in a drill press and a soldering station.
