ok so far i thnking of getting a badass 2 bridge. which pickups are better the duncans or the quarter pounders? any other opinions on where it might be lacking because im thinking about the truss rod as well. i'm thinking of using it live eventually.
very well then i'll go with the gotoh. how much do they go for? so far i have only played ernieball super slinky's on my basses how do you think that would be on the pete bass?
First off... Duncan (AKA Seymour Duncan) makes Quarter Pounders... the prior makes the latter unless you're talking about this:

Honestly... don't bother with the bridge... if you can't tell from the tone if a bassist is playing a bass with a POS bridge versus a mega-dollar GoldenGateMonstro bridge, then don't waste time and energy fretting over it.
As for Slinky's... haven't played them in over 20 years. From what I remember they were nice. If you like them use them... period.
Get the PW Squier if you really want it. Make sure it's set up properly by a competent tech or luthier and then just play it. I gig $40 basses so really, why spend so much time on worrying what's on a bass? If it works and you like it then cool. Just learn to play... and play what you like. That's all that matters.
