Any way to determine year on squier precision bass?

My dad has played guitar his whole life and I never got into it, we've had a bass in the studio for as long as I can remember.

Personally. I hate the bass. Every fret over the 14 fret sounds like complete ****. I it wasn't for the D'addario strings on it It would probably still be another un-touched instrument in my basement

It's a really really odd color, it's a pea green mixed with a cream color with a white.. I don't even know what it's called, screwed on white plate.

It sounds like a mint green squier with a white pickguard. Should be a refin then.
