Any Yamaha Bass Players?

Dude, I really like what you did with the black tuners! I can see that a black bridge would look awesome. Now you have me playing with ideas on what I can do to sort of upgrade/update the look on my bbeast. Not that I don't like the gold look but modernizing it a little wouldn't look bad.

Thanks - if you can find a BLACK version of the BBEAST bridge, let me know. The challenge with replacing the gold one (mine has a LOT of gold worn off - previous owner did that) is that the bridge is slight COUNTERSUNK into the bass - a slight route exists which the bridge sits in. Unless I can find a bridge with the exact same baseplate dimensions, it won't sit flush.

Not sure if Yamaha makes a black bridge like this/has one available as parts - if they do, I can imagine it would be pricey.

My BBN5 was an easy bridge replacement as the bridge sat flat on the body like it does on 99% of basses....

My main player for a long time was a BB605 with Bart electronics. It has been replaced by a Roscoe but until then it was the best bass I owned - and there have been a lot of them.

I've played on Yamaha basses more than any other...a brown BB400 (1983-2001), BX-1 (1987-2003), RBX765 (two of them, 2002), RBX775 (2005-2013). After declaring myself "leaving Yamaha after 30 years", I seem to have full-body GAS for a BB1025X in black or tobacco sunburst.

Yup, heres my BBNE2 and BB425x
