Anybody else got a bass with unreal tuning stability?

My 1989 " pencil neck " Japanese Soundgear SR1100e..... 3 months in the case and green lights all the way on the tuner !
It's rare for me to have to tune my bass, unless it's been in a gigbag and the tuners have been knocked.
I find the majority of my basses hold their tune and only need very minor tweaking, often due to fluctuations in temperature (I think) rather than anything else. But what I was talking about in the OP was not even having to do that - the thing had just stayed spot on accurately in tune. Sounds like quite a few people have a similar lack of hassle on gigs! 
The two exceptions to this are my Ric and my Geddy Lee Jazz, in a different sort of way. They hold their tune fairly well in the short to medium term, but are prone to needing the occasional truss rod tweak as the seasons run their course during the year. Again, I suspect temperature and maybe also humidity are factors here.

had my old aria hung on a wall (was not working) from about mid to late 90s and when i took it down about 3 years ago to move home it was still perfectly in tune..(Gotoh tuners)..
Both my Carvins never budge, Sperzel locking tuners are the way to go I think.
In fact I recently left my 6 string fret less in my parents quite warm house for a few months, and when I checked it it had gone down half a step in tuning, but all 6 strings were still perfectly in tune with one another

My old Aria Pro ii sb-r60 has not been tuned in 2 years now and it's right on the money every time I pick it up without fail.

A double bass player arrived a few minutes late for the first rehearsal of the local choral society's annual performance of Handel's Messiah.

+1 to this. I leave my basses out on stands, and apart from humidity swings nothing really affects the tuning much. My guitars on the other hand....

My guitarist has to tune his les paul every 3rd song as he is an agressive player. I check my tuning at the beginging of every gig and rehearsal... I play Fenders, for the most part, they stay in tune.
although I can't say I have one bass that holds tuning "unbelievably well" since I own a lot of them that I never have to mess with, but the one that always surprises me is my KahlerTrem'ed Jackson. I can dive and bend on the strings as much as I want, let go of the bar and I just laugh because it is always in tune, despite the wonky string angles thru the nut.
I don't see the relevance of people saying "my bass sat in the case for a year and when I took it out it was still in tune", because if it is just sitting there it should. It is when you are banging on the strings where most of the tuning issues occur, because if that was the case, I have a dozen collectibles that do nothing but look pretty and they are always in tune.

My MIM Jazz has been through three practices now and everytime I stomp my tuner the light's already sitting right in the middle. Best tuning bass I've ever owned. The Epi T-bird, now that's a different story.
