Anybody played a EBS Classic T90

The EBS people tell us it should be here around May. I too am very interested in one. They claim to be hand built. Exactly what that means is ambiguous. Hand built like a Reeves or printed circuit boards like most other consumer products. Where exactly is is built?

Anybody played one yet?

I've had one since January and it's my main amp now. I use it primarily with two Aguilar DB112's but also pair it up with an EBS 410. Both combinations sound great I just prefer the mid range response of the 12's better.

Here's a mini review I sent a member in response to an IM:

Highlights: Fantastic tone, very warm and tighter than my vintage ampeg and mesa tube amps. also quieter than the others. awesome DI (equal to my demeter tube DI), louder than I expected and powers a 410 or two 1x12 with ease, build quality is high quality, zero issues so far

Lowlights: EQ is very basic/limited (but useful) and not for the tone tweaker, can get distortion but it's very mild in comparisson to my other tube amps

Thanks for the mini review. EBS sent me a photo of the interior, and it is on circuit boards, not hard wired. Manufactured in China.

I'm still considering the Reeves and the Weber. I also would't mind finding a nice Aguilar db359. Choices.

Amen, it's great to have so many choices.

Reeves is a great amp. Haven't owned one but demo'd it for two days and the tone is great - very warm and rich sounding with great low end.

I used to own the Aguilar db359 and was honestly a bit underwhelmed. Nice tone, a bit polite, and not as loud as one might expect given it's rating. I had it for about a year and eventually traded it towards some mics. Heard from a fellow player after I sold it that he got awesome sounds after swapping tubes. Might be worth another look. I'm totally satisfied with the T90 though, for now. :)

I haven't played the Weber.

Bringing back an old thread. Anyone else have any experience to share about the T90? It's a 90 watt tube amp. It looks great on paper. I'd like more info about how it sounds. I'm thinking about getting one, but would have to special order; no opportunity to audition before hand.

Yep. I got one yesterday and took it to rehearsal today. Really simple amp, only volume-bass-treble-precence in the front, and active and passive inputs. Tried it with controls at 12oclock and it sounded rich, full and it was punchy! Played it through a Genz Benz XB410 cabinet, and damn, it has never sounded this good with the other amps. No problems cutting through 2 loud guitarist and one acoustic gitar, loud drummer, vocals and backing vocals at volume set at about 10oclock. Reallay smooth tone, lots of sweet lows, punchy mids and crisp clear highs. Amp starts to overdrive at around 12oclock, but it was a smoooth overdrive one can control with finger-style and using the precence to adjust it was simple, and one can actually adjust the tone more than I expected. I was in a bit of doubt wether the 90w was enough, since Im playing in 2 loud bands, but this thing is louder then my SWR Readhead rated at 350w at 4ohms. I think that I can use this without PA support in small clubs, but bigger than that it needs PA support. The DI is tube driven, so the FOH will be pleased I think...

I just got this amp in yesterday. I can't stop playing it. Amazing sound! Clear, dark and growly. Super loud for 90watts. Compared to my fender baseman 100 sf the t90 is way louder. Too bad they don't make em anymore.
