So I was looking for a cheap pad controller to add some bongos and cajon
to my songs. Many years ago I had an M audio 88 key keyboard/midi. It worked great however I found I really only used it for things like triggering precautions. I see that AKAi also makes an Small keyboard with less pads ( which I’m also considering because I’ve heard that these pads sometimes double trigger ). I realize at the end of the day that this is a very cheap drum pad machine so my expectations are not high. I’m hoping I can edit out an occasional double trigger and that it will play nice with both my OS 10.6 snow leopard as well as EL Capitan. I mainly use snow leopard as it’s just what I’ve been using for so many years and I have all that extra download it beats and instruments, even though I don’t use those very often. I’m guessing at the very least it would work with El Capitan and maybe not snow leopard. Their website doesn’t say much as far as minimum requirements for the OS. Tried to email the company but they wanna serial number which I don’t have obviously as I haven’t purchased anything yet but there is a phone number and I’m hoping to call soon and get a straight answer. Anyway, just some thoughts on this particular pad and maybe some others and it’s price range that will work with garage band.
