View attachment 932704 So yeah I thought why not and bought a kit just a basic fuzz for my first go at it, it turned up like the above and should be finished tomorrow night. Anyone else tried? And how did it go?

BYOC Divided Octave is the shozzlebits. I think there were 126 components. BYOC kits are very well documented, great instructions. The Divided Octave sounds great and tracks spectacularly. Highly recommend.I've built a few. 2 BYOC 27v Boosts (one that runs on a battery in a large box, and a small one for my board), the Lazy Spricket, and the Leeds Fuzz. They've all turned out great. I'll probably be building the BYOC Divided Octave next.
How do you make ric o sound boxes i still want one bad... also i have made a few big muffs and a rat. Pedal building is pretty fun if you ask me. Just make sure to watch your solder joints. Cold solder joints will cause problems.I started, out of necessity, making a couple high quality Rick-o-sound boxes for a friend and myself....then I thought "I wonder if I could make an effects pedal from scratch?" The answer was, yes I could, but they weren't very good. My next effort was to make a Peter Frampton style talk box. That thing was pretty cool...but silly and I didn't use it for anything. Now I just mess with making random changes to garage sell pedal buys to see what happens! Good fun!
Oddly, I barely ever play with effects when the boys are over.
I bought a kit for a fuzz a year ago. It's still in the box.
