Anyone else have issues with FedEx when purchasing from Sweetwater?

Fedex is OK where I'm at. The one that really irritates me is Amazon. I used to think it was the millenial drivers, but the map that they follow at Amazon HQ is wrong and I don't know how to fix it. So I have to wait until I get the email saying the driver is two stops away and then I have to go downstairs and intercept him before he drops everything off at the wrong address. Infuriating! >:^(

in the last 2 months, nothing that i've ordered has been delivered on time, from anyone, no matter who the carrier was.

USPS lost two packages from different sellers at the same postoffice (Caution, there's a Black Hole in Exeter, New Hampshire) ...

DHL misdirected a Christmas toy order from the Netherlands once it finally got to South Carolina, so my Grandsons Lego order is somewhere in Texas, waiting to be sent back to South Carolina...

I bought a Deering banjo from zZounds, with next day air delivery, so FedEx put it on the slowest truck they could find, and took 8 days getting here (thankfully, zZounds refunded the shipping cost, plus 10%) ...

UPS has pushed back another delivery for three days now, for reasons that even they don't understand...

Hell, even Amazon has been a day late on multiple orders, and we live less than 10 miles away from the distribution center that the stuff came from.

Tis The Season?

Yep. I ordered something from them recently, received, finally on Saturday. It took 11 days to get that free FedEx shipping. My package sat at Fort Wayne Fedex for a full week and the whole time it was there Fedex says "waiting for a label to be generated". It's not Sweetwater's fault. Except for the fact that they could move their business to another shipper.
At about the 9 day mark I called my "guy" and said I can't see ordering from Sweetwater until you get this junk worked out. I told him I fully know it's not their fault but I made sure he knew that I only ordered it online to save an hour car ride. I hope this eventually goes upstream because the company will lose customers and they will never know why.
Fedex 100% s'ucks.

Have yet to receive an order from Sweetwater on time when using their free shipping. Will get an Email from FedEx with a delivery date. Delivery date arrives, but no package. Check the FedEx updates and it isn't even in my State yet. Last Delivery was scheduled to arrive on December 1st. Didn't get delivered till the 13th. Even paid for 2 day shipping when I needed an item in a hurry. Didn't arrive till day 3.
Anyone else have these shipping issues with Sweetwater and FedEx?

I have issue with Fedex from any retailer.

Evidently, I paid $2.25 for signature required. I was home when the guy tossed it onto my porch and left. It was an amp cover, so the toss was reasonable. I guess if I’d claimed I never got it, fedex would have to buy me another. But what would I do with two?

My last order was supposed to deliver on Thursday. It said it was out for delivery all day long. I have deliveries made to my office because there is always somebody there to receive it. I waited at my office until 7:30 that night only to "Delivery not attempted. Will reschedule for the following day" appear on the website. This happened again Friday and then again on Monday, each followed with a phone call by me to them, only to be told, "Rest assured, it will be delivered tomorrow". I keep hearing something about routes being privately owned. Whatever the case, it doesn't make FedEx look good and certainly does not absolve them of the cruddy service being provided. That said, I've never not eventually received my orders. So there's that, I guess.

Periodically, but not very often. These days I assume there will be hiccups with whoever the shipping company is. The one outfit that is most consistently on time for me is the USPS. I know that's not true for everyone, but it is for me.

Both UPS and FedEx screw things up more often than USPS in my experience. In fact, just this Saturday FedEx left an enormous box outside in the rain right under our house number. It wasn't for us, and if dudeberry actually looked at our house he would have known that. UPS tossed a smaller package over the fence and again left it in the rain.

USPS always puts packages up our steps on the landing, out of the rain.
I agree with ya on that... USPS is way more consistent. Order a Beatbuddy Mini from a shop in New Hampshire through Reverb that uses collaboration of UPS and USPS. UPS picks it up. USPS transports it and then UPS delivers it. Recieved my package a day earlier than scheduled.

I have never had a package from sweetwater (shipped via FedEx) ever arrive on time. The helix I bought was a week late and my kala u-Bass was well over a week

I talked with the one of the main sales people at Sweetwater and supposedly they have made a note on my file that states not to use FedEx for the free delivery. They said they would use UPS for my orders from now on.

That has been pretty much my experience as well. The one delivery I received on time from Sweetwater was a small package containing bass strings. They sent it thru USPS and it arrived 3 days later. Only 3 days! Have never received a delivery from FedEx that was on time, let alone early.

Been buying from Sweetwater for years and have always received my shipments on time . The problem has to be because of the region you live in , I live in the Mid-Atlantic region and my shipments have never been late .

In SoCal my Sweetwater packages which are free shipping via FedEx even on small ($10) items tend to get here faster than expected, usually 2-4 days after ordering. Bonus... there's candy. Never had anything other than perfect customer service, impressive packaging and solid follow up from Sweetwater.
Zzounds has also been pretty solid over the years and the biggest surprise is Thomann who manage to get packages from German distribution centers to SoCal faster than domestic vendors like MusiciansFriend/GC, ProAudioStar and others and sometimes have killer prices that are way, way less than domestic vendors even after international shipping costs.
The USPS system is (intentionally and cruelly being) crushed, vets aren't getting their medicine and more... so I try to use anything but USPS whenever I can.
