Anyone else have issues with FedEx when purchasing from Sweetwater?

Have yet to receive an order from Sweetwater on time when using their free shipping. Will get an Email from FedEx with a delivery date. Delivery date arrives, but no package. Check the FedEx updates and it isn't even in my State yet. Last Delivery was scheduled to arrive on December 1st. Didn't get delivered till the 13th. Even paid for 2 day shipping when I needed an item in a hurry. Didn't arrive till day 3.

Periodically, but not very often. These days I assume there will be hiccups with whoever the shipping company is. The one outfit that is most consistently on time for me is the USPS. I know that's not true for everyone, but it is for me.

Both UPS and FedEx screw things up more often than USPS in my experience. In fact, just this Saturday FedEx left an enormous box outside in the rain right under our house number. It wasn't for us, and if dudeberry actually looked at our house he would have known that. UPS tossed a smaller package over the fence and again left it in the rain.

USPS always puts packages up our steps on the landing, out of the rain.

Yep. A bass I ordered about two months ago took over three weeks to get here. It took one week to get to Cascadia from Indiana, then two weeks of waiting and intervention to get it the last 5 miles. Part of the problem may be that its FedEx Ground. Getting my "sales rep" to lend a hand was the big challenge.

Very few issues with Fedex out of hundreds of packages. For the last three weeks or so it seems that they'll get the package in their possession and give a delivery date, then miss it by a day or two. This is ground mind you. The two day stuff seems to have a better track record. I just chalk it up as holiday surge.

I have problems with all shippers occasionally.
FedEx used to be great for delivering my packages to the wrong address. There’s a duplicate number and street in the next town(and zip code) and I would be waiting for a delivery only to have it arrive a day or two late because they attempted a delivery to a vacant lot.
Hasn’t happened in a while so I think they figured it out.
Ups is usually good for delivering the most beat up looking packages.
And USPS is mostly decent but when something does go wrong they’re the most difficult to get info from and get the situation resolved.

I attribute a lot of it to high volume and the fact that the workforce pool these days could use a little chlorine…

I have trouble with FedEx when buying anywhere. This video sums it up: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/z1R6lFwGdbo" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Funny thing about FedEx. When they started business their claim to fame was: “If it absolutely needs to get there overnight.”

The local FedEx delivery where I'm at is the absolute worst I've ever seen. I bought a Mesa amp for guitar related stuff I was doing...ended up upside down in the rain with two broken tubes. Another Pedulla I bought was left at the end of the driveway...again in the rain...laid down in the flower bed right next to the road. Both required signatures that were magically signed for.

Look...I'm not a perfectionist when it comes to anyone else but myself and a lot of stuff I will never whine about because most people are really trying to put their best foot forward and take a lot of undeserved crap...but this was on another level of incompetence. Twice.

This is why my wife and I only use UPS, USPS and occasionally DHL for anything we ship.

Haven't had any issues with Sweetwater shipping FedEx. But haven't bought anything from them since October.

But right now anything incoming to my job via FedEx is getting stuck for a week at a distribution center that's only 20 miles away from me.

I agree with those who say it's not just Sweetwater shipments via Fedex; it seems to be all shipments with Fedex. I ordered something from an online vendor that was shipped the next day. Fedex's first delivery date was Friday 10 Dec; missed. Then 11 Dec, missed. Then 12 Dec, missed. On 13 Dec one package of the three ordered arrived. Second and third package (all part of the same product) missed. Second and third package rescheduled for 14 Dec, missed. Now scheduled for 15 Dec; I guess we'll see what happens now. Good thing it's free shipping; I would definitely be annoyed if I had paid for expedited shipping. The bottle neck seems to be within their local delivery area. According to their tracking info, my order has been at their local depot for 3 or 4 days now. Everything can't be Covids's fault.

Thump on,

Deliveries are nuts this time of year.

I live on a corner lot, with my front door facing one street and my driveway and front door sidewalk going to the side street. UPS usually delivers to my front door (walking across my lawn to do so), FedEx and USPS to my side door, and Amazon to both doors. Lately, UPS has been delivering to my side door, and FedEx to my front door. I've even received some UPS deliveries from a guy driving a Nissan Altima. First time I saw him, I thought he was a porch pirate until I realized he was dropping off something instead of taking it. A few days later, I saw him again, and this time he was parked behind a yellow Penske truck, talking with a UPS driver in the back of the truck who was handing him packages, which he then put in the Altima, and drove off to deliver them.

This time of year, I'm just happy if my packages arrive in one piece, and within a day or two of the expected delivery date.
