Teles are the absolute sexiest thing with 6 strings made. I want one so so badly. But u can't justify spending the coin. Because I suck lol. And I have a laundry list of bass stuff to buyI play the very same Gretsch. But mostly I play Teles.
Keep it. Every now and then, you just need to rock out.

In the past 18 months or so I've been really trying to practice what I preach and buy American made products.Three hundred bucks will often get you a G&L Tribute "tele" as the Stupid Deal of the Day. Squiers are even cheaper, and these days the quality isn't too bad.
Ahhhh yes. I sometimes wonder what I could turn it into. A beat up stingray? A market flooded American jazz bass? Maybe a tone hammer head or a nice 4x10.If there’s food on the table and the mortgage is being paid, then keep it.![]()

I've had it for a few years. I'm aware it's Korean. But ya know American made= American jobs. But I've got plenty of off shore made instruments. Sold most. What I have has sentimental value so they stay. Just something in into. Nothing against anyone who buys imports. My favorite fender neck ever is a CIJ.Huh. Okay.
But then you don't get to complain about being unable to justify the spending. The savings provide the justification. And what's more American than capitalism? Especially when the offshore products are so well-made these days.
Anyway. If that's the Gretcsch 5120, it's not American either.
