It’s common to do it that way when trying a new set of strings and you’re not sure if you are going to keep them on that particular bass. No cut ends makes it’s easy to swap out onto any other bass. Once you find the right strings for the right bass, then cut.I’m surprised that no-one has criticised the string winding on the machine heads, especially on that Pedulla?![]()
