Ah, your gripe is with the keyboardist who thinks he's the bassist, eh? Yeah, I get that - but oddly, I've never encountered that creature. I guess I've been lucky.

My keyboard player left the stage and went to take a leak and get a beer during Crazy Train recently.

I asked him *** he was doing and he said there was no keys in the song so he took a break. He isn't going to like when I just pay him based on songs he actually was needed on.

People say bass players are flaky. Sheesh.

It's the keys players who have never played anything but solo or classical who are getting into playing "that other stuff". Those are the ones you have to watch out for.

Had a keybard one time complain that I was getting in the way of his left hand.
By the time I had loaded my gear in the truck and came back in for my basses, he was coming to.

LMAO, yup......xgator4u stumped his toe on a mic. cable,
WOOPS... crash... 265lbs meets 125lb keytard...

OH my goodness did I hurt your left hand?:woot:
You really should tape that fukker down.

I would rather shoot the way too loud guitard as an example to others.
Speaking of waaaay too loud guitards. My 3rd to last gig with the band I just finished with was played at a bar we'd never played before. We had to bring our own PA. While checking levels, the guitar player went out onto the floor & stood with his back to me. He was strumming away and telling me to turn it down. What he didn't know until I walked over to his amp was that I had him at 0 on the board. His bloody amp was at 7/10. Amusingly, he got the hint & was turned down at the next 2 gigs.

The ones I've played with in bar bands *usually* seem to have learned their lesson at some point in their career. And if any of you happen to be responsible for this I thank you sincerely.

However, the ones who play in church tend to be clueless about this issue and cause me to think about doing things that are strictly forbidden by my faith.
