Anyone got a new puppy or kitten or something?

We did not. Actually, to be precise, we put her down (injection), then cremated her.

When I was about 10 y.o. we had a new litter of kittens that were just starting to walk. My friend/kinda girlfriend from down the road was over playing when one of the kittens went through the open sliding door. Right then my "kinda girlfriend" decided to close the sliding door, right on kitty's neck. Not hard enough to kill it but hard enough to break something. Poor thing proceeded onto the deck in a rather drunken-looking walk. It died soon afterward.

Yeah, let's hope it lasts a while. I'm kind of expecting someone to be "offended" by "the bird" and reporting it to the mod-squad. Time will tell.

My family, around 1977 or so. I am around 14. On the couch is Uncle Bob (my mom's brother,) my dad, my sister, my mom, and Auntie Jean (Bob's wife.)
On the floor is me, my cousin Glen, who is from South Africa, and kicks ass at soccer, and my cousin Debbie, who is still cheeky, and now lives in Australia.

My old (all original) band, Careless Abandon, around 1996 or so. L-R, my ex-girlfriend, Leah, (vocals, tambourine,) Kurt Smith (rhythm guitar,) Mike and Tim Ascher, (lead guitar, and bass, respectively, myself (acoustic guitar, vocals,) and of course, Alex Cloud on drums.
