If you want a bulldog, check out bulldog rescue online. Bulldogs are great, but expensive. There are lots on that site looking for a home (I've gotten 2 there). Seriously, if you have bulldog questions, let me know.

Yup, the Frence bulldogs look cool. Not sure we are ready for another dog just yet. Which I suppose means we are not ready yet.

I've had three...my last had to be put done few months ago. Been looking, wow have prices skyrocketed. Maybe I'll go get a rescue dog for a change.

Only two strings away from an attitude problem.
My dog had the audacity to bark during a Michael Manring show in my living room. I love him and he's been around a long time, so I'm keeping him. The dog, that is. Michael had to be somewhere after the show.

With a rescue organization, less likely it will be a puppy. But rescue organizations generally have the dogs fully checked with a vet so you know what you are getting, and they try to match the dog with the owner (obviously I like dealing with them).
Try Petfinders.com. Just type in your zip and breed you are looking for and you can see what's available in your area. I found my newest dog with it.

We got the little scamp from puppyfinder.com 11 years ago - got a discount because he had that hanging ear which was wrong for breed*. I work from home, had just gotten remarried, wife thought me having something to talk to besides myself would be good. He was flown here from 1000 miles away....few things as cool as your puppy coming around the baggage carousel in a crate. Stinking to high heaven but we still hugged and kissed him. Both my daughters had graduation pictures taken with him. Damn, now I REALLY want to go get another dog.
*his alternate rapper's dog name was "little1up"

My understanding is that they are similar to an Olde English Bulldogge, which I have. Basically, an attempt at 19th century bulldogs. Longer legs and longer snout, which means they have less of the breathing issues, and are much more mobile. Prepare to walk - they need exercise. A little more aloof, but mine is a 75 pound mush. Good luck.
I live on acreage - almost the end of a dirt road that comes off a dirt road. We are all about the walking. A bigger dog I could possible take the mountain bike for a change. Someone tell me to pull the trigger and I will. The wife will get over it.
Pull my finger........................I mean pull the trigger. Rescues are always the best pooches.
