Anyone Have a 6-String with 19mm Spacing?

Do you know who makes that bridge? I need a 5 like that with the 3/4" (19mm) spacing.

Its a HipShot Type A bridge.

That's what I thought it looked like, but I didn't think they made them that wide for 5 and 6 strings. Thanks.

Yeah, Hipshot actually makes them even wider than that on the 5 strings you can get up to .830" and on the 6 string you can get up to .787"

My FBB 6-string fretless is 19mm.
Wish it was 20mm.?
Can't play any bass less than 19mm.
This is why I sold my SR-5 17mm.

I know that 17mm is too tight for my tastes for slapping, as I have that now on a Modulus. I'm wondering if 19mm will be too wide for six strings, and whether I should compromise with 18mm.

Both of my six string basses (fretted, fretless) are 19mm and they play absolutely wonderful IMO.

All of my sixes are at least 19mm (MTD, Bone, Brubaker, F Bass)... the Fodera Contrabass is probably 20mm, maybe more. Very comfortable, very hard to accidentally hit the wrong string. I hate narrow spacing.

The Surine 7 I had was 19mm. Very playable.

I just picked up a Yamaha TRB6 - HUGE neck w/ 19mm spacing. I find the wide spacing to be very comfortable for my right hand, although the 4" wide 24th fret feels a bit chunky when I'm playing down there.

I've got the Carvin 6'er with 16.5 mm spacing as well, and it feels super tight and cramped in comparison. I'm gonna sell it and switch to a fl 5'er with full spacing at the bridge.

Hey guys - not quite on the subject but who agrees with me that Spector basses should offer the option of 19mm string spacing on their Euro basses.I just cant get used to 17mm and there is no way I will ever be able to afford a custom US model.I have a Euro 4 string and it smokes in every way.

I just got a Yamaha Trb-6P, i played one before i got it and i loved it i have plans to defret it.

anyways i was wonder if any one has heard how much the TRBJP model sells for? I'm really looking for one of these now that i'm selling my GT-7(damn 16.5mm spacing, and i dont want to take that bass to berklee with me). I've been wanting a JP model for about a year now and i've only been playing for 2 so yeah haha. If any of you have one or you know of someone who has one and are considering selling it let me know I'd love to take it from you.

Thinking about putting one on a Lakland 55-02. What would I need? The .750" or something like that?

The .750" would be 19mm string spacing, but I'm not sure how wide the neck is on the Lakland. There are full specs on the bridges on Hipshot's website. They should be able to answer this question for you if you email them.

the Warmoth neck I am building a 6 around is 3.1" at the 21st fret. I have a 3" center of string to center of string bridge. I guess this is very narrow spacing will these 2 work with each other? What size are your necks at the 21st fret? This is my first 6 and I am trying to figure out how to build it. These are some others I have built....
