Anyone have Gas for a Ken Smith 6 string?

Yes. Like you wouldn't believe. Especially since I actually owned a BSR6EG and stupidly sold it!!!! D'oh!!!

A while back I did. I even bought a BSR6M. Ended up not liking it. It had elements of the Smith tone I loved but for some reason just didn't match all the clips and vids I'd been watching of Smith basses. The low end was just too big and boomy. Didn't have as much of that sweet top end as I like either. I couldn't figure it out. Maybe I just got a dud. I sent it back for a refund. That's just the way it goes when you can't try before you buy!

Oh well, though I love listening to 6-string players this experience proved to me that I'm just not a 6 player.

I've been really liking the BSR's, especially the 7 string. Just beautiful basses, play and feel wonderful to me. One of these days I'll break down and get one ...

Yes! Well, actually it can be a Smith, MTD, Fodera or some other high end bass that slips my mind at the moment.

I sold my 6-string Carvin earlier this year to get my J5... Also because I thought I wasn't into the 6 any longer, I tell myself that when I can get another 6 it'll be a major one like the companies I mentioned above.

I've had one since last year. It was my first, and only time, playing a 6-string KS.
The string spacing was huge! Must've been 19mm. I LOVED it!!
