Seriously I played with a guy in the Oklahoma State U symphony who had dyslexia. He wore tinted glasses that somehow helped, although how I'm not sure.
People here seem to be confusing Discalculia with Dyslexia.
I have a problem with numbers only. It's called Dyscalculia, the arithmetical equivalent of dyslexia. Dates, digital time, calculators, anything with numbers might as well be in chinese. I've overcome it and taken some advanced college math but it's still a major problem. I design in CAD, program my CNC machinery in G-Code and pretty much work with math/numbers all day. I use a slide rule instead of a calculator to keep my brain from exploding. Quite often I cannot recall dates with the year, even my own kids birthdays but I can count, make change even calculate a tip or percentages in my head, no problem![]()
