Marktplaats.nl > Bassguitar, merk onbekend - Muziek en Instrumenten - Snaarinstrumenten | Gitaren | Bas Anyone know what brand this bass is? It's repainted so the brand isn't visible anymore. It's some kind of jazz bass but I can't place the headstock. The headstock looks the most like a G&L but it's not round at the top. Please help me so I won't buy crap
That is definitely not a Fender Jazz, the headstock couldn't have been trimmed that way from the looks of it. I am going to guess just some cheap imitation brand.
jazz body, and it may have been possible to cut that from a 70's style jazz bass headstock but probably not. It's probably one of the hundreds of jazz bass knockoffs. Take the neck off and look in the neck pocket. If it wasn't painted over during the paint job there may still be telltale signs of the maker.
ok, this could go down as one of the worst ideas for a "paint job" I have ever seen on a bass. Looks like someone got..er...excited...to see it ...just saying
FYI.. here is the translation from the text on Bablefish: Bass Guitar, brand unknown. The bass guitar is still working fine. But is painted black and white splashed with a video clip. The paintjob is done intentionally sloppy. But all the hardware and neck are neatly taped off or removed before painting. Prima is playable in current condition, but it can also completely refurbish itself.
thanks for the feedback guys.. I was guessing its a cheap-ass imitation brand too but it might just be some great sounding bass, never know ^^
Oh my... So, what they are saying is that they meant to do this? I wonder if when they were done they stepped back and said, "wow, that is exactly what we were going for"?
