Anyone listen to Monkey Jhayam or Bixiga 70

Doing my best to turn my friends and loved ones, but are there any others on Talkbass that appreciate the vibes and grooves of these beautiful artist from Brazil?

Im hoping to learn more, hear some affirmation that they provide the most beatiful sounds. Top be clear I understand zero Portuguese, but I believe right down to my soul they're only singing and pointing towards peace, love, fun, joy and toward God's light.

Thoughts?

Lyrics translated via Apple:

Ready, my selecta, and put the music

[Chorus]

Today the day went by much faster
When I realized, it was already at the end
It's already another week that it starts again
The more time passes, the will grows inside me
Inside me, the will grows inside me

[Verse 1]

The important thing is not for you to know
It's you to practice, to persist is to win
The stones of the path teach us how to live
You won't regret it, you won't regret it, no
I'm not the one who navigates the sea, it's the sea that navigates me
I'm not the one who navigates the sea, it's the sea that navigates me

[Chorus]

Today the day went by much faster
When I realized, it was already at the end
It's already another week that it starts again
The more time passes, the will grows inside me
Inside me, the will grows inside me

[Verse 2]

Metropolis, chaos on the corners of the metropolis
Fear does not match the metropolis
Carefully step on the metropolis, metropolis
Metropolis, chaos on the corners of the metropolis
Carefully step on the metropolis
Fear does not match the metropolis, metropolis

[Exit]

Today the day went by much faster
When I realized, it was already at the end

Boom

This was the first time I heard of them. I like the track. :)

For dub, my first taste came from Scientist by way of Grand Theft Auto III’s K-JAH radio station, of all things. It played tracks from Scientist’s 1981 album:

Scientist Rids the World of the Evil Curse of the Vampires

Thanks for checking the post and the recommendation. Im listening ti the Scientist Rids the World of the Evil Curse of the Vampires right now, pretty good stuff. LINK

@Killing Floor - thank you for sending these recommendations. Enjoyed them.

TATUAJE definitely has that new wave 80's vibe, but something new added.

Sabrina Malheiros has a very nice sound, the rhythms are so interesting and tight, I like the guitar solo also.

Los Tetas are pretty cool, I just added Mama Funk to my library, along with Bebel Gilberto.

Babel reminds me of Thievery Corp's album Saudade, I love that bosa nova tremendously, and that album gets tons of play in my house.
