Anyone Playing Eden WTX500 or Little Mark

I just sold my Eden Metro combo, didn't like to carry the complete package around. I want to use a few different set-ups and i need to get an amp. I want around 500W, I've tried the WTX260 but there just isn't enough there, tone is important. Kick me back what you think, mainly Eden vs MarkBass. Cheers!

Saw the WTX500 in Musician's Friend's latest catalog. Don't know if that means it's shipping.

I played a WTX-500 last Friday and just yesterday (Saturday.)
i thought it sounded massive! I played a USA and Tribute JB-2 on it plus a Sterling Five. They all were super clear. The bass boost feature was awesome. Through an Eden 2x10 cabinet, it was a total booty machine.:D Saturday, I played with the mid boost a bit and turned off the compression, and I totally got the kind of sound I love. I am not in the market for an amp, but the WTX500 has me considering trading in my Markbass CMP121 for it plus maybe a 1X12 or 1X15 Eden cabinet.

MF says it will be available 4/30/09. I have really been looking at the LM Tube 800 these past few months, but this thread has got my attention for the WTX500. I already have a WT550 and a 410XLT, and I have been very happy with the Eden sound and quality. I guess the only bummer for me is that the WTX500 appears to be solid state only, but the price seems quite right. I also like the built in intl voltage, even though I highly doubt I will ever play in another country. Hmmmmm. Decisions, decisions.

The WTX500 is the same as the WTX260 with more power. Nothing in there should change its tone.

Having more power and thus more headroom will help to keep the power amp from clipping, but that situation is not the norm.

I agree about disabling the compression, which I don't like as much as the comp on the WT550. Haven't yet tried the dynamic bass boost at a gig; it always seems way too heavy.

PS: The WTX500 won't produce 500w into 8 ohms.
