Got a line on a CMC WIIO pedal, which is a clone of the Catalinbread one. Just wondering if anyone has compared the two. There's very sparse info about them.

Anyone Try A CMC WIIO Clone Pedal?

I purchased the same pedal a couple of year's ago, but I felt it was lacking the midrange bump and gain as the original. Did you ever purchase the pedal? If yes, what was your thoughts?
Seeing as I have not tried the original or anything similar, I can only say it is an excellent od that I like better than my Broughton Scorpion (which I'm ditching). It's more crunchy than fuzzy/buzzy - which is good. I find it gets a nice throaty Hiwatt-ish sound when coupled with a tiny bit of sustain and tone from a Green Russian Muff, although the Muff seems to suck some bottom end out.
Along with the TC Spark Booster - which I find it couples with very well - it's an 'always on' pedal, with 3 of my 4 basses.
