I just checked Ashdown's website and the weight on the ABM 610 is 38 kg which is about 84 lbs. Still very lightweight for a 6x10! I'll never part with my Bergantino NV610 but it lives on our band bus and I may have need for another big cabinet for a future project. This may fit the bill.

Anyone try an Ashdown RM-610T sealed cab?

I just checked Ashdown's website and the weight on the ABM 610 is 38 kg which is about 84 lbs. Still very lightweight for a 6x10! I'll never part with my Bergantino NV610 but it lives on our band bus and I may have need for another big cabinet for a future project. This may fit the bill.

I just got another ABM 410H mainly because I can lift it (barely) up stairs. They have changed from rear ports to a front shelf-port. I think it sounds better but not as good as the ABM 610 . This new ABM 410H has the tilt-back wheels and they are tiny 2" wheels. I plan to put 4" casters on.
A sealed 610 that isn't too heavy for less than a grand? Just when I was thinking about how cool the old Traynor 610 is? What a coincidence.
Can you take a pic of the inside? I would like to know if it comes with bracing and lining.
Sorry, but I haven't learned how to send pics yet. I looked inside the older rear-ported ABM 410H cabinets a while back and yes, there were two front-to-rear posts and some acoustic lining. The new 410 has the shelf for side-to-side bracing. It may have the front-to-rear posts.

Once I had an Ashdown VS212 cab and it wasn't braced and it didn't have any acoustic material inside. it sounded muffled and there wasn't clarity on the mids. An easy way to really notice that is playing music through your amp/cab combination. Without lining the music sounded like cr@p, and as soon I added polyester batting inside the mids were back.

I am an Ashdown Endorser and currently use the Ashdown CL810 (Red Grill Cloth) as well as the NEO 210's. I used to use the Ashdown CL610 and it was a KILLER cab. I've also used the ABM 410's (Blue Speakers). I don't have any experience with the Root Master line as they are just cheaper production (overseas) Ashdowns. I can tell you that the CL 610 and CL 810 units are well worth the high price tag! The NEO 210's also ROCK!
If it's UK or US manufactured (they did make cabs here) I'd consider it. Ashdown makes great great gear, I've owned and used it as long as they've been in business, but I'm not a fan of their products made in the Orient.
If you want power without the weight, check out the Ashdown 4x8 ABM neo. I have got 2 of these, and when I wind them up a bit, they are just brill. They piss over everything else I have ever had from Trace Elliot, Ampeg, GK, Bareface and other stuff I can't even remember, although I do need the two cabs working together to get the full metal jacket effect. Being 1000 watts, each and with 8 speakers doing there thing, they never get over worked, and can handle low B stuff without a murmur... These things are light enough to be carried with one in each hand, and won't break the bank at about £700 each. For years I was trying to find a ' jack of all trades' speaker system, and this, without doubt is it...... My comments are only based on the music I play, which is funk, soul, Motown and occasionally soft rock, so not sure how they would handle the meatier stuff, but with my experience, nothing frightens these fellas...

Someone has bought this cab at Sam Ash. Maybe a salesman there has tried it out. There are two stores in England that stock a lot of Ashdown ("stockists") : Andertons and Thomann . Or you could get the Mesa 610 for $1100. The ABM 610 has not been at Sam Ash for a while.
Or maybe David could bite the bullet and check one out for himself and post the review. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
I don't feel that I should take a financial risk to gain knowledge about a new cab. Perhaps you are up to it.
I saw the 2016 version and it now has plywood construction and white-coned speakers. The ABM 610 is no longer on their website. There is an ABM 210H that looks good and a 1000 watt neo 210 (sealed).
Was the 2015 version made of particle board? They should be blowing them out at a great discount if they are discontinued.
Hi David, I found myself in the same position and bit the bullet and bought one of these. Cab will have its first outing tonight so I will report back.
