Anyone use For Score software?

A little difficult to see if there are threads for this software. Turns out that ForScore will no longer be able to pull in Google Drive files - all imports to be done from iDrive or Dropbox. I bet on the wrong storage area - as all my stuff is on Google Drive. What are you using for tablet music notation and music files? Is there a work around to be able to use Drive with ForScore? Thanks!

Watching this thread as I'd like to know. Is there a music notation and reader that doesn't cost an arm and a leg but is compatible for sharing charts?

I have used ForScore for many years. I absolutely love it. I chose DropBox for storage so I guess I got lucky. I don't use any of the sharing features as I am the only one who uses it. I play in my church's worship band. The only real complaint that I have is that ForScore has never supported Android devices. It has been one of the driving things that's kept me IOS centric.

No wonder others have no idea what I'm talking about at rehearsals. They have Android tablets.
Like Scottgun - I'm looking for something that works cross platform and can add and share music at will.

That's a drag. I've been using Google Drive with ForScore for the past couple of years.

Apologies for resurrecting a zombie thread, but I’m about to take the leap into digital chart management, and I’m wondering if ^^^this is still the case? forScore will *not* work with Google Drive?

I've gotten stuff into ForScore from Google Drive. I have a big iPad Air that was a gift from my employer for good behavior.

The bigger hassle is the Apple ecosystem. My son described it thus: "You like Android because it works like a computer, whereas your iPad works like Apple.

I totally get your son's take on Android vs Apple -- despite me being an avid Mac user since 1987, I am gobsmacked at how inscrutable the current Mac OS is, and I switched to PCs for all my daily computing needs over a decade ago -- but I'm still going to get an iPad rather than an Android for this chart reading/management stuff, because A) I use an iPhone and it seems likely that duplicating apps and settings etc. on an iPad will be a no-brainer; and B) my wife has been an Android user for ~13 or 14 years, and she still can't explain how or why anything on that gizmo works, or doesn't. No Thanks Jeff.

btw, I just Googled "can the forScore app access files from Google Drive?" and the AI-derived answer seems to be a qualified Yes ...albeit via Apple's built-in Files app interface:

Years ago, forScore removed its direct built-in Google Drive login panel due to privacy and API stability changes. Today, you can seamlessly connect your Google Drive to Apple's system-level tools to pull your sheet music right into the app.

Connect Google Drive to Your Apple Files App
Before you open forScore, you must make sure Google Drive is turned on in your device's main system menu.

1. Download the free Google Drive app from the App Store and log into your account.
2. Open Apple's built-in Files app on your iPad or iPhone.
3. Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the sidebar and select Edit.
4. Switch the toggle switch next to Google Drive to On (it will turn green).
5. Tap Done.

Method 1: Import From Inside forScore (Best for Multiple Files)
Once your device knows where Google Drive is, you can pull your PDFs directly into your sheet music library.

1. Open the forScore app.
2. Tap the Tools/Briefcase icon or the main menu button in the top corner.
3. Select Import.
4. A window will pop up showing Apple's file explorer. In the sidebar under Locations, tap Google Drive.
5. Browse your folders and tap on the sheet music file you want to download.
6. Tip: You can use the Select button in the top corner of this menu to tap and download multiple files at once.

Been using forScore for years on my iPad and have not had any problems with google drive…
My 2 cents.
