I have the DUO 24. Had it for about 3 months now. There are advantages and disadvantages IMHO.
I don't feel like the plates add any significant amount of weight in my situation. I have 7 large and 6 medium plates attached.
For me, the biggest disadvantage is the adhesive is not durable in Phoenix's hot climate if the pedal has significant weight. My Peterson Strobe tuner can become dislodged at a moment's notice, especially after driving to a gig (even with the A/C on in the vehicle). I also had to use tie wraps on my Ciocks power supplies for the same reason. All my other pedals remain adhered just fine tho, with the next heaviest pedal likely being an Echolution 2 DLX.
I also would have liked to see the soft case have some kind rigid insert added so that the board has a better chance of staying upright during load in and outs.
That is kind of sad to hear. I suggested an alternative long strip plate approach to be able to have strips of velcro and they sent me a condescending email saying how velcro was not going to be considered ever and that I would be a changed person if I tried the plates thing.
