Anyone using Temple Audio Design pedalboards?

Once I found 3M dual lock, I stopped thinking about Temple boards. I have never had a pedal come dislodged using the stuff. I’ve had a Truetone CS12 power supply mounted upside down under my pedal train board with one strip of this dual lock stuff for three years now and it hasn’t budged. That’s through a lot of gigging, a lot of loading, and a lot of the pedal board case falling over from upright. I’ve also removed the dual lock from some pedals that I’ve sold, and guess what? No sticky leftover residue! The stuff just peels right off with some well intentioned muscle, leaving the surface looking clean and brand new. So anyone thinking of using Velcro for anything should stop, slap themselves in the face, and then buy 3M dual lock instead.

Reading about the “flex” in temple boards and plate adhesive failing in this thread has only turned me off of them more. Temple boards do look awesome though, and I’m sure are a great solution for some.

Checkout Aclam Guitars in Barcelona. They have a vey cool clamping system for pedals (no velcro). I ordered on some time ago from them and they shipped to the us np. Not exactly light or cheap but very flexible.
I’ve seen those. At the end of the day, the clamping systems just mean you can fit less pedals on a board. Industrial Velcro or Dual Lock is still better. And, seriously, having sold tons of pedals, only weirdos you never want to deal with will complain about Velcro when buying a pedal.

But...but...how may I summon this wizard? Where? How? I must know!
He can be found in his lair via the inland empire in the west lands.
The the wizard code for the light box messenger is as follow keith at TsunamiCables dot com.

Now...What is your favorite color?

With which board do yo use your 3M dual lock? Do you have a pick?

I love my Temple Board. I rarely swap pedals on my gig board and when I do I make big changes anyway and just redo my whole board. I think the plates works pretty good and don’t mind them although I have 3M Dual lock on another board that works great too.

the thing I like most with the board is the side panels and how easy it is to keep it tidy and clean. Love the new panels, especially the Cioks. I have a DC7 under right now but I think I will swap in the future.

I use 3M Dual Lock on my Pedal Train Jr. board. Not one pedal has come close to budging. I have removed the dual lock from some pedals I’ve sold, and it comes off clean the first try. No residue, sticky or otherwise. Here’s a couple pics. I lined the entire board with the 3M. The pedals pop/lock into place with the dual lock. Much more solid and secure than Velcro. In fact, you need to use much less dual lock than Velcro if you want to unlock a pedal from your board without breaking a sweat. I use about a dime-nickel sized piece on each corner of a pedal.
