Just picked up a new JMJ Mustang yesterday. This bass totally kills, much more than I expected. However, I've only played it through my amp at home and haven't gigged or rehearsed with it yet. On top of that, I've been downsizing my bass collection and am looking to only have a handful of basses that could carry the load as a #1 player if needed.
I'm curious if anyone is using the JMJ as their #1 right now, or what the consensus is on this being versatile enough to do most things. I play in a psych rock band, normally with a P bass, so I think this will fit in nicely. But I do occasionally play in more acoustic settings in small rooms. Just curious about what some of its limitations are when it comes to playing in a mix.
