Anyone watch Lost?

Yeah, I watch it. I love it. It airs three weeks later here though than in the US so I won't be reading this thread...

Season 3 starts in the UK in a week or so - I'm really looking forward to it!!

I think it's the best thing on TV for a long time and certainly the best thing to come from the US (i.e. not BBC!! ;) )

I thought series 2 was better than series 1 and although initially slow - introduced some great new characters and provided a lot of answers and some new questions!!

SPOILERS

Answers ---

So a lot of the weird stuff is obvioulsy to do with the fact that this area is a huge source of Electro-Magnetism which is getting stronger all the time and threatening cataclysmic events - unless they push the button - which is part of a big world-wide scientific experiment across governments - involving unscrupulous scientists who dress up as wild natives - "the Others" ....

Questions ---

Or is it really that the whole story is in Hurley's mind - he has clearly gone mad , been let out of the asylum by his imaginary friend (who impossibly shows up on the island) wins the lottery and ends up dating an attractive woman - it has to be all in his mind - doesn't it!! ;)

I was really into season 1. Season 2 was kind of a let down for me. Season 3 is pretty lame so far. IMO, this show has taken a big turn for the worse. However, I regretfully keep watching it each week because I feel like I've invested so much time into it- I want to find out what's going to happen. But nothing really happens. Just more "weird" stuff with no end in sight. They set up way too many questions that have not been adressed yet, like why is there a polar bear on the island? And whatever happened to that evil black smoke that was attacking them?

Oh well.:rollno: I'll still watch it tonight.

The show "Invasion" that used to be on after Lost was awesome...too bad they canned it. Anyone else into that show?

The Polar Bear was clearly out of Walt's imagination - he has supernatural powers which have been the subject of several episodes.

Locke told us that the "Black Smoke" was the Security system for the hatch network! :)

Mmmm....well, I'm not going to say anything regarding the Polar Bear seeing as you guys aren't caught up quite yet :)

Like with anything on the show, you can't think you know the answer to anything because they throw curve balls all the time.

It is getting a bit frustrating just when I think of how much we don't know. It sometimes seems like they're just adding random stuff to confuse us but my wife and I like that. We probably will never give up on the show. The only thing I hope is that is doesn't go past season 4, then it will be a bit too much.

I loved the show last year. This year it's just tiresome. I swear the first two episodes took two hours to move the plot in 15 minutes of actual time. If they don't get better soon, it's going to lose me. For the record, Shannon's not dead yet!

DARN YOU!!!! I accidentally stopped and read this!! I'm halfway through season 2.
I hope you are kidding!
:smug:

i can't believe i didn't see this thread.

i am a lost-addict.

i watch every show and then download each episode as soon as i can.

For the week before last our cable went out and came on RIGHT after Lost ended. Needless to say we weren't happy :) Thankfully there's an official website where they post the most recent episode at 2am the following day.

Well - I know there are some real ones about - but I think it was clear that Walt was at some point creating "mass hallucinations" -so they saw Hurley as a Polar Bear ...or maybe Hurley is a Polar Bear who has just gone mad and thinks he's a person!! :D

I suppose the big clue was at the end of series 2 when those guys were obviously in the frozen wastes - but reporting on the disturbance at the hatch......:eyebrow:

I'm a bit irritated that last nights episode was great (didn't see THAT coming) ;) and next week's looks good too, BUT that's the last episode until Februrary :(
Was I hallucinating or did the preview for the next episode say "Season Finale"??

Didn't this season just start? That was like the 4th episode.

That was a good one though.

they are taking a 3 or 4 month break for one main reason. (i know this from listening to the LOST podcast.

1) the producer said that they are only able to schoot 22 or 23 episodes during the year, and the tv year is about 35 weeks long. so instead of having an extra long break between season 3 and 4, they are making a mini break in the winter.

it also gives ABC a good time stop to premiere day break, which looks stupid as all hell.
