AOL's Ten Worst Songs Ever

How could we forget such immortal classics as:

"Seasons in the Sun" by Terry Jacks (without question, the worst of all time)
"The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" (?, croak out the song)
"Midnight at the Oasis" (?, "put your camel to bed")
"Loving You" (?) ("doo-be-doo-be-doo-doo...aaaeeeaaaeaaoo" shrieked as if the muskrat were singing. Made my hair stand on end every time.)

Lets face it...AM radio in the mid to late '70's was a disaster.

Oh, I almost forgot "Wildfire" by Dan Fogelberg. Ugh, remember the "killing frost?" Brrr!

Lest we wrongfully crucify Mr. Fogleberg (for this song at least), it should be noted that Michael Martin Murphy did "Wildfire". And what ever happened to the Bay City Rollers...?

My theory is that guys with two first names are always bad news--you know, where their last name could also be a first name. THREE POSSIBLE FIRST NAMES? Ohmymymy. Like James Earl Ray, Michael Martin Murphy (as in Murphy Brown) is in that category. So the guy had to grow up to be A) a serial killer or B) a song killer.

Close on the heels of that for maddening is Doris Day's "Que Sera, Sera."

...it blew me away when I found out that tune was introduced in a Hitchcock film(The Man Who Knew Too Much w/ Ms. Day & Jimmy Stewart). Now that's scary! ;)
Personally, I like "Midnight At The Oasis"('cause, I guess, I'm not focusing in on the words). IMO, Muldaur's voice is seductive as Hell & Amos garret takes a nice solo(& Freebo on bass is "OK" with me, too). ;)
