API TranZformer Bass Preamp

Hey friends! Mine is coming in this week and I plan to have a pretty cut and dry bass demo of it to upload the following week. Any specific requests? I too found the Sweetwater demo too subtle.
I would love to hear a demo! Anything really...fingerstyle, pick, various compressor and eq settings? I couldn't find the Sweetwater demo?
Thanks a bunch!,

I said sweetwater but meant Vintage King! My bad.

One thing I really noticed is - really fast attack on the compressor helps contact going from slap to fingerstyle. Also, it's super easy to kneal down and click the wheel over for more compression and change a variety of settings FAST. I actually really really like it.

Secondly, to get that really Pino-ish sound, it's more of a turning the high switch down, not necessarily just boosting the lows. That statement seems obvious, but the low knob is lower in the frequency it boosts than I expected. Which I really like as well. Or just turn your tone knob down haha.

Hey friends! Here's my demo after having it a few days. Ignore me sounding like an idiot who can't talk!

Nice demo, even if I personally would appreciate a little less slap, and I now clearly can hear this is absolutely not a pedal that is capable of giving me anything in the proximity of the tone I personally prefer.

But hey, whatever floats you boat I guess.

As I said nice demo, even if it convinced me never ever to invest in this massive expensive piece of gear, even if I happened to win the lottery.

Ha thanks! A lot of the slap to me was more about hearing the compressor.

Used my Tranzformer on an acoustic session last weekend, with a Breedlove ABG. Only used it as preamp / DI without any EQ or compression. We recorded two tracks, one with API and one without. The Tranzformer sounded great, added a definite thickness and weight to the tone by comparison with the other track.

Would be interested in anyone's experience comparing the Tranzformer to other direct boxes like Reddi or Avalon.

Hooked my TranZformer directly to an Electro-Voice ZLX-15P. HOLY SHNITES!!! May use this rig live on my next gig!! Amazing tone!

How should I use the phase inverse switches on the pedal? Or rather, when? I haven't used phase buttons - only messing with phase in the studio
As I understand it, typically when something sounds "off" in the mix it could be due to phase cancellation. The phase inverse switch is used to correct that.
