In all fairness, I can see why you would be upset. I know how much it would mean to you to have the Village People's "In the Navy" as your ringtone.![]()

create it in garage bandTry getting a custom ringtone for your iPhone. Apple are disgusting. I just bought my last Apple product.

A ****ing ripoff that's what it is.
The new iPhone will only use music purchased via iTunes for their ringtone. Ok so far so good. Most of us have a few of those. Then it's another .99 cents to use a tune as a ringtone. A tune you already paid for. !
Allegedly, there may soon beslight thread detour >>
Is there a Flash Player for the iPhone yet?

Invalid Link RemovedFlash for the iPhone confirmed at FOTB
At the Flash On The Beach (FOTB) conference in Brighton, Sr. Director of Engineering at Adobe Systems Paul Betlem, confirmed that Adobe is indeed developing a Flash Player for the iPhone. However, Apple calls the shots as to when it'll be available.
A Macbook in the States: 999 dollar
A Macbook in Europe: 999 euro
Anyone care to explain this 382 dollar / 270 euro we're paying extra?

Which is solely why I am, and will remain, Apple free!!!But yeah...Apple can be just as bad if not worse than MS...they're worse when it comes to proprietary stuff. I think they're even worse than Sony when it comes to that.
bc
whatever haters.
i've used macs since i was a kid... typing this on my macbook right now. can't stand PCs. honestly i don't much care for the iphone either. if you're trying to get ringtones for your phone it doesn't really matter who you go to, it's going to be stupidly and frustratingly protected from doing that. don't get me started on Rogers.
i just think that judging the whole company based on the ability to create ringtones is pretty ridiculous. and whatever gripes you guys might have about Apple, i had a clamshell ibook, an ibook G3, and now a macbook, and yeah they've all had some problems but i always got applecare and never once had to pay for a repair or had to wait more than two weeks for it to be fixed. the customer service that i've experienced has always been very polite and helpful. my dad, an engineer, now works at the vancouver apple store on the weekends as his "hobby" outside of his regular job because he loves the atmosphere and the company so much. my silver ipod mini i've had for years now and we've rebuilt it with parts from ebay to keep it going. apple's design usually demonstrates a keen sense of ergonomics and intuitiveness that makes other products look and feel like frustrating user-unfriendly blocks.
i understand that other people have had terrible experiences with the company and i have to respect your opinions but my personal experiences with Apple have always been great and so our opinions are just going to differ.
