As a player who has had gear stolen in the past , I have to consider the possibility of " The Great Bass Heist ".
NOT soley because of the neighborhood , but this location is just 5 minutes from the expressway. Friends in law enforcement tell me many crimes are committed near an Xway for a quick getaway. Again, it is my past experience with a proven thief who lives not far from this location. Paranoid ( not like me ) ? Careful ( gotta be ) ? I dunno , just a bad vibe. Drive carefully.

Sorry to hear about the weather issues in Wisconsin. Stay safe folks, hope you can make it down next time.

For those who are concerned, the entrances will be locked and we will have door watchers throughout the event.

I will not shame or make jugments on anyone who doesn't feel comfortable coming. Everyone has to make up their own mind and coming to the "inner city" and all that entails is an understandable hurdle for alot of folks.

However, for those that choose to come know that I have lived two blocks from the venue for 10 years now, am well aware of the neighborhood and sensible precautions are being taken.

Thanks for setting up the extra precautions. Do the doors face the parking area? Thanks!

Right now in Manitowoc

I will be leaving now to head in hope I will be able to get some help getting my gear inside should get there at 1pm. I think the good far out number the few that are a problem.
I'm heading north now, always need to leave cushion when CTA scleppin'. I should be there 1-ish, might be a few min early...I can assist with load-in.

edit: And I know doors open @ 1, @Eilif ...it's Sunday, so I'm at the mercy of reduced schedule. I err on the side of early rather than crazy-late.

I'm packing up now, I should be there right around 1 to help with load-in/setup. I'm also bringing a 24-pack of bottled water.

As for instruments, I'm bringing my rootbeer sparkle US Lakland Decade and Lakland Skyline Hollowbody with Dark Stars. See you all there!
