So sorry I couldn't make it, had to do an emergency fill in at church over the weekend, and spend some time with my dad (lost his last brother on saturday). Great pics! Nice to see my buddy Sam Cockrell there too!

I had a great time at the GTG yesterday, thanks to everyone involved. Special thanks to Karl/Eilif for making this one even bigger and better than last year's! Everyone was friendly and very cool, particularly about sharing their excellent gear. I got to try an Alembic for the first time--I've been fortunate to be able to try out a lot of boutique basses, but that's a unique instrument. And thanks to Jake and Mike for bringing their great products and providing solid information about them. I'm looking forward to next year's GTG, as well as the potential fall event.

Not this time. And I'm always far from reasonable

Bought my Lull M5V and my Status 5er, and my Genzler rig. Was pretty happy other people played through it so I could twiddle some of the knobs and see what they do.

HELP!
I'm cheating on using my thread for this, but I need a sub this weekend and this seemed like the quickest way to find a Chicago area bassist.
-I've got a gig on Saturday the 30th from 7-11 in Crete, IL.
-No rehearsal.
-Music is straightforward country and classic rock songs in a 3 piece with a guitar playing singer and pedal steel player.
-Pay is $100
-All charts are provided from the bandleader on a tablet.

I can attest that it is a cool, laidback gig. Bandleader couldn't be easier to work for. I'da done it myself if hadn't been booked for months for my new band's debut that night.
