Are EHX pedals "good"?

I have had a couple of EHX pedals and they seemed fine to me. Maybe they will break but my LBM cost me $65 and is going into year 2. I hope it lasts a long time but it wasn't that big of an investment to begin with. Try as I have I simply can't take the LBM off my board. I am even on my second go around with a Blowtorch which I like but not enough to get rid of the LBM. When I want crazy fuzz the LBM delivers.

for a long time wouldn't even consider an EHX pedal, because of previous experience (older pedals being of poor quality)...but recently I have found two EHX pedals that I really like (microPOG and the Deluxe memory man)...now, I have also recently tried the Clone Theory chorus, and found it very noisy......so my guess is they are like most other efx manufacturers...hit and miss...

Also keep in mind that careless feet do not discriminate. I myself have messed up a couple pedals from misjudged stomping, regardless of who made them. Oh, and I personally have never had a "quality control" issue with an EHX pedal, I did wear out a Russian footswitch over time, a pretty long time to be honest though.

That one's an odd one. Quality control is not the issue there... they KNOW it's a noisy circuit. The original was, too. Their argument is that they chose not to compromise the sound for the sake of noise reduction...

But it still sounds good to me. It's one of my favorite chorus pedals. But if you use a tweeter... that thing can be a nightmare of white noise.

I want them all

POG, Knockout and Double Muff are specially desired right now. The guitar player of my former band had the English Muff'n, the all tube OD... My god, what a nice, strudy, high end crazy machine of OD that was. Truly a Masterpiece. ODdly enough, Big Muff Pi NYC on bass is what I don't like. Too compressed, not fuzzy enough, LEL (low end loss), you name it. But I still WANT THEM ALL

Yes...we've talked about this before Boo...

My general impression is EHX has come along way quality wise...and are worthy of consideration...
