Yes, today (and yesterday) were pretty darned good. I put in a very long week with no time for anything Monday thru Friday, so I live for the weekends like you wouldn't believe!

Between the two days I got all my chores done, took my Jazz bass in to have new pickups installed (Seymour Duncan Antiquity II's) spent a lot of time outside and got a lot of practicing in.

You bet!! I've already made a ton of money this summer, and am off for the next 3 days before having to go back to the refuge and continue fuels mitigation.

I am a little upset that I won't be home for my 1 year anniversary with my girlfriend. I miss her terribly. :(

But I'll be home around the end of October, with $15-18 grand in my pocket, and my sights set on a new truck. And a ring.

Can't give it to you, but I can give you a great math equation:

Fire fighting + bad fire season = PROFIT

Also, becoming a wildlander is relatively easy to do, lets you work outside, you get to drive a fire truck, and women drip off of you. If you happen to be a woman yourself, then men drip off of you.

I'm not a happy camper to be honest. Saturday the 16th about 700 bucks worth of charges hit my account from Amazon, Microsoft, newegg and xbox live. I'm a pretty paranoid person with my online habits only using 2 computers that are known to be as safe ( I guess as can be ) using high end protection software and a bunch of other safeguards. It seem to have failed. I noticed the problem last night when I checked my account after a fantastic date with my S.O. and there they were. I managed to call xbox ( investigation under way with a username, no less, to go by ) my bank ( card deactivated, new one on the way ) microsoft ( oddly enough xbox is part of them yet WORLDS better with customer service... the jack holes wanted to argue and generally piss me off until I got a supervisor on the line -- investigation in progress) Amazon has stopped shipment turned the addresses over to their investigative folks and has said they will refund the monies by Thursday of this week. I love me some Amazon )

My faith in my fellow man gets rocked by garbage like this. I'm trying to stay centered, but man it's tough.

Sorry for the forum barf-o-rama.

Sunday was a great day. Slept in, puttered around the yard, went to the farm & got some fruit & veg, Then woke the youngest and drove down to the beach. Great parking spot, warm water, decent waves, hung out with a friends hot GF. Then the offspring & I hit the seafood market on the way home, got a quart of lobster bisque, a pound of sushi-grade tuna and four crab-stuffed baked potatoes for 22 bucks.
Today, I went back to work, so not as good as Sunday.
