Im curious to hear if this has a single truss rod, or if they copied the double. A lot of older genuine Rics had damage at the adjustment nuts due to inept attempts to tighten them. The single rods are just like any other. I'd ask the seller to provide a photo under the TRC just to verify everthing is intact.

yes, i'm gonna talk more detalies about the condition, how is the neck, trust rod and more detalies about it before the 12h trip:))

i can't afford a real ric but i really want one, the price for it in europe is double or triple than that japonease copy (you can found one at 1500-1600$ not in a best condition and not in your country and that include a extra cost for shipping and it s to much for me)
I have three or four of fakers left in my collection now.
This is one:

i found online a aria pro II rickenbacker (made in japan, 1975)and i don't know if i should buy it or not
a old guy sell it, he had a lot of expensive guitars for sell(rickenbackers, american fenders, japanese basses), but i'm not sure if that bass is a genuine aria pro ii rickenbacker and i don t know how to check it and test it to see the
authenticity, some advice please? here are some photo with guitar, the price is 800$(something like that)
(ps sorry for my english i m not a native speaker and i learn it from friends and internet)

You're concerned that a conterfeit bass is not real? Not even sure how to answer this.

I’ve had a ton of Rics and the two best I owned included an all original 73 and an Ibanez lawsuit. I don’t regret selling all of them except these two. The Ibanez blew most the real rics away and played like a dream. I wash I still had it. I’ve not played other lawsuit basses but the other Ibanez lawsuit guitars I’ve played are all amazing. I don’t know about the Aria Pro but might be made in the same factory. Regardless, it’s probably well worth that price.

The OP did say to please excuse their English.
The faker has an Aria Pro II brand on it and the question was whether that is real; the answer is yes (or at least yes, there were ones so-branded and this one looks right).
On a point of order, the vintage Japanese copies fakers were not counterfeits, as they did not bear the Ric logo, similar to the copies of other brands around that time.
In contrast, the current Chinese copies (Chickenbackers) are often counterfeits, even to the point of some sellers using photos of real Rics on the adverts, plus typically having fake "Rickenbacker" TRCs; the Aria Pro II one in question here is not one of those.

Those are rare as hell and should be as good as a genuine Ric from the same era. I dig the waffle-back Kluson tuners as well.

Snag it without hesitation.

The Hipshot bridge alone is worth $150+ Used, and is a definite upgrade over the original. My recollection of the tone on the Aria I played was that it was effectively indistinguishable from a 4001. The modern 4003 Hi-Gains sound a little from the 4001, which sounded a little different from the 60’s era horseshoe and toaster pups….. etc. So pick a tone you want to call the “real” Rick. It has plenty o’ clank and grind.

Well, at least no tail lift and easy to intonate. The only knock I’ve read on the Hipshot is a tendency for the saddles to rattle, which also happens on Ric bridges. I cured it on my Ric clone build by putting some copper shielding tape on the bottom of the saddles to approximate the bridge radius, that might work on the Hipshot too. Supposedly the new ones don’t rattle, but I haven’t played one. Hopefully the OP didn’t get scooped waiting for advice, that’s not gonna last.

Same here. Mine rattled a wee bit. I also got niggled by the clicking noise that came off the bridge of a 4003 BlueBoy when digging in.
