Aria Pro II

I'm trying to export pictures from my phone to my pc, doing my best to figure it out. I'm useless with tech.
The 00's in the front of the serial indicate it is 1980. Take another shot of it flipped over to show the neck heel, is it set neck or neck through?

1980 SB600. From the photo of the back it looks to have been painted.
Is that not a replacement neck? I had one of these long ago (or one that looked just like it with the same controls) and it was completely neck through, no joint.
I bought it second hand so I dont know if the neck was replaced but it has the Matsumoko factory red writing on the headstock "Approved by H Noble original custom body P No 555719 a product of Matsumoko 4 11 N M " and it does look hand painted so I would guess its not worth much now. Thanks for the info guys good to know finally what model and year it was.
No I have an SB600. It's set neck from the factory.
Fake neck throughs were pretty common in the Aria Pro II line, and in Asian made instruments of the time in general. For example the Aria Pro II TSB400 has a bolt on neck, while the body has a centre section of laminated maple with nato wood wings. The South Koreans even made some guitars with lines painted on the top to make them look vaguely like a neck through.
It might not be a great example of the bass, but I think it's still worth some money - look up what they are selling for on Reverb (guessing $800+), and then take a % off if the body was hand painted. Someone will buy it to restore, or play.
I thought it was a replacement neck too but who knows, could have come from the factory like that. My SB1000 looks like ScottfromCalgary's.
The SB 600 were set neck. Not a knock off, not a replacement neck.
Edit to add info-Previous generation SB600s were bolt-on neck. 1977-1980. 1980 was a transition year so some were bolt-on, early on in the run, and then they went to set-neck.
