Is that not a replacement neck? I had one of these long ago (or one that looked just like it with the same controls) and it was completely neck through, no joint.

If it was otherwise the same but was neck through then it was a SB-700

I think so. Looked up some photos earlier and that is the closest I can find. Was a pretty nice bass.

Perhaps I've just added to the confusion with my previous post about my RSB-600. I just found this picture of an SB 600 on the net with the same neck joint as the OP. I didn't realize they were different basses - just assumed the SB and RSB 600 were one and the same.
