Artcore Club

I seem to recall them offering Transparent Orange on some Artcore guitars in the US at some point. I suppose spending some time on the Wayback Machine (archive.org) would tell us. Since the serial number decodes to 2005, my OCD got the best of me so I took a look at Artcore guitars of that year and found that they did offer TOR on at least one US model. Ibanez :. artcore :: AF75DTOR
I haven’t seen this color or model number in any of the US catalogs from the 2000’s for basses…not them thar gee tahr thangies:smug:

Maybe @hypercarrots knows?

and?

Your point being?
An example of another AGB200 with a different name?

The AGB260 comes with different paint and a pickguard and different wood than the AGB200 that was available at the same time when the 'normal' AGB200 was available.

been posted here with catalog specs and a video

Price is kinda high for 4 year old used. Almost as 'new' price. Maybe because it is being sold in Italy and the original price there was higher?

I saw this and had to post.....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears he modified the bridge, and put a disk style piezo under it. The comments mention a piezo, old flatwounds, and high cut.

stock bridge.

Lighting makes it look different, but it is not.
What makes you think he changed to round tranducers? He could have simply changed to a better piezo still under the saddle. Doesn't say specifically other than he changed the piezo:

'Just finished learning this awesome PC's solo! Played with my Ibanez afbv200a, using the piezo i installed, flat wounds and Tc for head and cab! Hope you enjoy'

correct me if I’m wrong…

I wasn’t aware this model had a piezo, so any existence of a piezo would be a mod. Also if you put the video on a big screen you can see it attached to bridge (connector) with a wire going on top of mute towards saddles. I *think* I see a small round disk piezo near/under bridge.

to be honest I’d wire it differently to hide it. Perhaps it’s a external type piezo. I’m not too familiar with piezo except under saddle etc. upright basses use an external saddle that is sorta similar to the one he uses

Duh, you're right! Senior moment:thumbsup: For some reason I thought it did! He must have the round transducers self stick piezo's underneath because I don't see a bone saddle in the bridge with any kind of slot.

[edit] I think I see two transducers setting on top of the foam mute right under the strings?

I think those are wires. I circled what I believe to be a disk piezo

I noticed Sweetwater has black ones too, but not black with black pickups. Although I’m not sure AMS does either…. The last picture or so doesn’t have black pickups lol. I’ve also been super busy lately, so I haven’t made much progress on trying an ABG.

Yeah, but they're the AGB model.;) Much easier to find.
