In addition to what @B-Mac said, I believe spec wise the AGB260 is the same .... there isn't a clear one other than color.
Of course that's got to be my luck
I loved the seafoam green colour of the agb 260...
Thanks for the reply!

The AGB260 uses different body wood and different neck wood and different fretboard wood plus it has a pickguard. And the 260 really does sound different from the 200. Put your good headphones on for this video. I was quite surprised. In addition to what @B-Mac said, I believe spec wise the AGB260 is the same as the AGB200 except for color. I did some digging myself to learn the differences between the models, and there isn't a clear one other than color. So if you're not picky on color, the AGB200 should still be for sale. Sweetwater has one right now. I've not played one, so I'm happy to hear of another person's account that they play well.
Be aware that the AGB200/200/260 are semi-hollow thin bodies compared to the AFB200 which is hollow body and thicker.I used to like the agb 260 seafoam green, but it only seems to be available in a few unsold models
Yes!Anything arrive today?
I'll leave the stock strings on for a while. They sound just fine to me.Are you planning to swap strings? if so, which ones?
Sweet!Yes!
My AGB200 came a day early on Wednesday.
Used it the next day for a 2 hour gig. A real nice bass!
Setup was fine right out of the box. It was a demo from Sweetwater. They said there was a nick on it somewhere, but I didn't see it...and I really didn't look.
It's going to get some gig time!
Thanks for your input and information on it. It really helped me to go forward with the purchase.

Here's my "new" Artcore AGB140. 2004 model. I remember having GAS for these when they came out but passed them by for a Squire. Found this one at GC in mint condition with no mods. It sounds pretty good for stock. Haven't decided if I will mod it yet. Put some half-wounds on it to make it a little less bright. I might put some Chromes on her but hear that they have a lot of tension to them. Anyway, I'm glad I found this "oldie but a goodie" and will never part with her now.

I've got two, an AFB200 and an ASB140. Love them both.

I'm on board! Haven't had time to post a NBD, but just picked this AGB140 up here on TB.

I'm getting ready to do the mod on the pots--may be trying something slightly different with parts I have handy.

Jeff

Ordered a AGB205....should have it by next weekend...already ordering some nylon taped strings ....have them on my Mikro and the Fender Starcaster re-issue

I just picked one up today. It looks just as good in person as it does in the photos. It won't be mistaken for a double bass, but it has a very acoustic sound to it. Very nice. It's not heavy, but heavier than expected because of a solid maple block down the inside. Probably because of that, it's not much louder than a solid body when unplugged.

Well I just got my used AGB 5 string, and I realized that it was tuned E to C and when I dropped it down to B to G the B and E strings are flopping against the fretboard. I'm going to try and put some relief on the neck and see if that helps, but would I need to change the strings as well?

View attachment 3773354New Artcore owner here! AGB205 2013 Digging the bass so far but want to get more low end out of it. It currently has roundwounds on it so I'm looking to replace with flats or tapes, but I'm having a hard time finding a set that fits correctly, having silk only wrapped around the post but no silk before the nut. Standard lengths (la bella atleast) would end up with an inch or so of wound string around the G post but short and medium scales aren't long enough. Any recommendations for flatwound and tapewound strings for these?

Dear Fellaz & Fellazettes,
Can i join this club? Is anyone giving numbers?
Here is my AGBV205A

Hey everyone,
I recently obtained an artcore agb200 (first release with two pick ups) and notice the tone knob and volume knob aren't responding well and the pickups may need to be replaced as they look worn (looks like the strings may have been hitting them).
I plan on looking at the wiring to look into the tubing knob and volume knibbut I'm having trouble finding pickups sizes or if there are any highly recommended ones. Do any of you all have experience with these issues? I have read bassomatics recommendation but that was for the 140 model. If any of you can also direct me to sizes for the pickups on these or can direct me on one's that you'd recommend that would be helpful too!

I have two AFB200 basses, one white, one solid black. I used to have a 'burst AFB200 when they first came out but I didn't use it much then so I traded it.
I also have and Artwood AF55 Archtop Guitar that I converted to a super short scale bass.
I had an Artwood AW10 acoustic guitar since '83 but I gave it to my son who moved L.A. a few years ago.

Oh hey, look, there's an Artcore club!
Mine is an ASB140, with none of the original electronics, so I'm probably no help....

Here you go. All strung up with tapewounds. I routinely get away with playing it at bluegrass jams.

I just realized I've never posted mine. It's a 2013 AGB VLS that I purchased in Dec. '22.
It came with rounds but I love flats and go with LaBella LTF, the more I play it the more I love it.

Hey guys! Sorry i left the club over a year ago by selling it... #17 is therefore still available!
What was your reason for selling it? I'm interested in the Artcore AGB200, but cant find one locally to try. Knowing why someone didn't like it is just as helpful usually
Got it.Hey guys! Sorry i left the club over a year ago by selling it... #17 is therefore still available!
Yes of course ! I will answer questions to the best of my modest habilities :0)Got it.
However, your experience with that bass is still valuable to others who may be interested in that bass.
