Artec Pickups ?

Tried emailing several times with no responses. I read through the artec related threads but most were not about the pickups I am looking for and I did not find any resources. The US distributor only carries two bass models.

I recently ordered some Artec MM style pups off E-Bay for a thing I'm goofing with (I've already recorded the 'before' stuff...)

I didn't see any of the ones from the page you linked on E-Bay, but this is a pricelist from their off-E-Bay website:

Just past halfway down is the MVBC4-CR. That's the only one I see from the page you linked. Their website navigation seems to be broken as everything comes up with 'no record'. I got great e-mail communication from them on my purchase, so maybe shoot them an e-mail.

These come out of Asia, and there is definitely a bit of a language gap. I e-mailed Artec and asked where I could buy their stuff here, and they said (in very halted English) that they didn't have a distributor in the US.

Nonetheless, I ordered an Artec Preamp from Link Removedand it already got here. Maybe you could try there as well.

Good Luck!

I've installed an Artec preamp into my Cort bass, a 2 band eq one. Very good value for money if budget is tight, but you can tell it is cheaply made. The pots feel weak and less smooth than the ones that I took out of the Cort. Also, the volume control is less than fluid i,e: off/on! Installation was easy though. It is useful, in-as-much-as it helps shape more useful tones out of the bass, but the build quality isn't great, and to be honest I would of been better putting that money towards something else like an Audere etc. Which I am now doing!
