Wear my belt buckle on the side so it doesn't scratch a bass/guitar when I pick one up.
Don't wear a wedding ring because I don't like how it clicks the fretboard when playing (and my wife doesn't care).
Have nail clippers stashed in my car's console just in case I need one before a gig.
Strain to hear the bass lines on the radio
Think of big purchases in terms of "how much bass gear would this get me?"
I try to compliment others to make the music better.

Keep bringing a bag loaded with spare drum sticks, spare guitar strings, spare strap, spare cables, spare 9v batteries, and spare vocal mics to rehearsals and gigs.

Have been known to teach guitar players chord composition and key
give the song what it needs.
Always compliment other bass players I like.
focus more on what I DON'T play, bearing in mind less notes means more pay. 
Listen to the drummer and play in time with them. 
Can't pick my nose with 6 of my 10 fingers because I have no sensitivy on their tips.
... am really frustrated by the lack of interesting band opportunities in my area.
