Wanted: amateur wannabe musicians to waste my time (Philly metro area)
I'm an older serious bass player with vocals. I've been unable to find a band who shares my musical taste and commitment to practice and getting songs right. So I'm trying a different approach.
The ideal candidate:
*will say all the right things, have all the right experience and have all the right equipment
*will come to the audition unprepared
*will agree to weekly rehearsals on a certain day then when that day arrives you will have other commitments that require you to cancel
*will come to rehearsal unprepared
*if someone hears your mistakes and points them out and shows you the right way you will fix the mistake that night but then next rehearsal you will make the same mistake
*will sing out of tune
*will sing my harmony part instead of yours
*will rush or drag the tempo
*will play the wrong chords because you're too lazy or don't care about learning the right chords off the recording, then justify it with "close enough" or "nobody cares"
*will be unable to learn the right chords by ear off the recording and instead rely on notoriously inaccurate charts found online
*will be aware of your musical strengths but blissfully unaware of your weaknesses
Interested candidates should send their video or audio samples via reply immediately.
