Silver Rumblers are amazing!
You can't play every note on every string like original Ashborys or Fenders but for loud stuff they are it. I mean the usable range on the string where a true note sounds is reduced. However my Rumblers are stretching after a year and are gaining more range. At volume ghost or harmonic versions are available up high.

Hey man. I'm not sure I understand your post. "You can't play every note on every string like original Ashborys or Fenders but for loud stuff they are it." Are you saying that some notes are unplayable?
The range of notes you can make is before the "12fth" fret. With Guild Ashbory and Fender strings you can play past the fret markings up the fretboard and make clear actual notes.
Kinda no notes or just the same note. Imagine the neck was short so you could only play in a few positions.
After gigging for years I do want all the notes.
The energy produced by the Rumblers makes them louder but not very useful for my needs.

I have a Fender Ashbory (my second one, I sold my previous one when I was in between jobs. I also have an Ashbory Mark 2
The Ashborys are currently the only basses I own although I played a Jazz bass professionally for 8 years

Loving them. They have me playing very gently when playing regular EBs. Which means more dynamics more tone.
I don't have one, but I did. Blue Guild. Bought it brand new sometime around 1986 give or take a few yrs. Paid $325 IIRC? Or was it $225? Sold it in 1993 for oh, I don't remember; maybe $230. I remember it sold really fast.

Anything. Since 1993 a BBII saw the most gigging. Could explain all the speaker replacements!
Trio gigs, the Ashbory goes through a Monique into the front of an AER Basic Performer. On display all the incredible warmth and dimension the AER doesn't have. Because of its clarity the AER is a pure canvas amplifying all the Monique's attributes!
Glockenklang is your friend if you want it all represented big and loud. Not cheating on Monique, (okay sometimes) but as good as Monique is in the tube universe the Glock is the richest harmonically dense SS out there.
