Ashbory (Guild/DeArmond/Fender) Club

Has anyone tried weed wacker strings or superior bass works strings on an Ashbory?
I'm sure they'd be picked up by the piezo bridge, but would they damage the instrument?

I've owned an Ashbory for 10 days. Loving it as much as I knew I would. Thought about it for years, finally shopped seriously for about 3 months .Found one just up the road in Milwaukee. I would love to take a number!

Have a black one from Fender for quite a few years now...

Don't play it much but I like looking at it, nice piece of design...
