Ashdown ABM-414H-LF $280 Amazon

There are MAG 414T Deep and ABM 410H models, but no ABM-414H-LF model on the website.

The specs on Amazon appear to be incorrect with a list price of $999 and different weights listed.

I wonder what they are trying to sell?

These appear to be discontinued Ashdown cabs. The 414 represents a 410 at 4ohm cabinet with the tiltback and towel bar configuration.

They were originally priced at $999 retail and around $599-$699 (I think) street, so this is a great deal.

If there was any reason for me to lug around an 80 lb. 4x10 anymore, I'd already have this shipping to my location.

Thanks sevenorchids! Your online search skills far surpass mine.

Do you know if these cabs are sealed or ported?

I wonder why they aren't in the legacy products section of Ashdown's site?

I emailed Ashdown last night and got some more info:

The ABM 414H is a new model that has the same power specs as ABM 410H but is 4 ohms.

Tilt back sealed dual chamber like a small 810. He told me the website will be updated soon to reflect the changes.

Being in the US I know little about Ashdown products. But the 410H is not tilt-back, and has no casters, but weighs 70lbs. Frequency Response 70Hz - 20kHz

Doesn't seem that attractive to me.

But then again their website doesn't even list the thing, and most resellers seem to be using the 410H photos. I found this one here which is tilt-back (assumes rear castors) and more visually attractive. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifiers-effects/ashdown-usa-414h-1050w-4x10-4-ohm-bass-cabinet

OK, took the gamble. Figure I can resell it for at least most of my money back if I hate it.

I just got 2 boxes from UPS with Hayden High 5 cheapo guitar amps in them.

What a total waste of time!

You're joking, right?

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose on these deals. Shouldn't be anything more than a waste of your time, though. The description, title, and part numbers are clearly for an Ashdown cabinet. So it should be a free return. Keep us posted.

WWBW replied to my request to exchange the Haydens for Ashdowns:

"Unfortunately, due to policies in place by Amazon, we cannot do direct exchanges on items purchased through Amazon. I apologize for the inconvenience.

The best way to proceed is to return the incorrect items, and recieve your refund. From there, you can purchase the items from us directly."

My guess is..... at full price. I will ask anyway.

Well, I emailed the support guys and got this reply:

"In order to get the ABM 414H amps at the price of 279 you would have to call in to place the order. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you."

I just called and after taking the complete order over the phone the guy said please hold while I get a log in authorization for this discount from my manager. I wait and he comes back with we can't sell those to you at that price, but i will offer 15% off normal price. I asked why they are not honoring the support guys offer and he had no rational explanation.

I have emailed the support guy again, but do not expect it will end in my favor. Another deal too good to be true.

Win some, lose some. I ordered an MBFusion head for a too-good-to-be-true price and Amazon sent me a big cabinet instead. Fortunately the shipping weight tipped me off that I wasn't getting a micro head and Amazon was able to intercept the shipment before I got it, saving me the trouble of sending it back. A refund was all I got. I forget who the seller was but I think it was one of the MFriend-WWBW-Music123 family.
