I am pumped for these. No idea where they are made but, alder body, gunstock oil finish on the neck, and hipshot tuners. They are supposed to weigh under 8lbs. Basically everything I wished they had done with the Skyline line but never have. I liked what Dan started doing recently but since he was only planning to do expensive USA stuff this is a welcome addition. Should be priced pretty close to the Skyline stuff.

So not made in the UK?

There is no way at that price they are made in the USA or UK. They will come in around the price of a Skyline. The website says they are brought back to Ashdown for setups and inspections so that's a plus. Looks like Dan is launching a new USA series at a high price and didn't want to get into more of a mass production thing anymore so Ashdown came in and took that part over. So they are identical in design to the new Lakin USA series. If they are done where the last Korean Lakin series was done (which I think might be the case) then they have a high chance of being amazing. Those were 95% as good as a USA Lakland. The light weight, alder body and oil finish on the neck are all things I wish the Skyline series had which makes these a potential slam dunk depending on quality. I am for sure going to check one out if they have a USA dealer.
